About Sixteen Mile
The Sixteen Mile Sports Complex is a state-of-the-art, LEED Gold-certified recreation hub in Oakville, Ontario. It is primarily known for its "quad-pad" arena, which includes one Olympic-sized ice surface with seating for 1,500 and three NHL-sized rinks, including one designed for sledge hockey. The facility is the official home of the Oakville Blades and Skate Oakville, offering a full-service restaurant (Puckz Pub), a pro shop, and community rooms for various events.
A major 2026 expansion is transforming the site into a 79-hectare community park and "net-zero" hub. New additions include a 65,000-square-foot community centre with a pool and fitness centre, an 18,000-square-foot library, and extensive outdoor amenities. For sports enthusiasts, the grounds now feature lit soccer fields, a cricket pitch, a skateboard park, and a bike pump track, making it a comprehensive destination for both indoor and outdoor activities.
